BNB Chain has completed its 36th scheduled token burn, eliminating 1,615,827.795 BNB from circulation in a single transaction and pushing the total supply down to 133,166,127.91 BNB. At the time of the burn on July 15, the destroyed tokens were valued at approximately $931.7 million.

This quarterly reduction is part of BNB Chain’s long-standing Auto-Burn program, which was designed to gradually shrink the token’s supply until it reaches a long-term target of 100 million BNB. That level represents half of the original maximum supply and is a central pillar of the project’s tokenomics.

Larger burn than the previous quarter

The 36th burn removed more tokens than the prior quarterly event. During the 35th burn in April, the network destroyed 1,569,307.34 BNB, then worth around $1.02 billion.
